Professional development with SSOCC recognizes the need for ECE’s in BC to have practical professional development with concrete take-away ideas and practices that can be immediately implemented in your childcare program. Our workshops and bookclubs focus on Reggio-inspired practices and social-emotional learning.
Our Reggio-Inspired Bookclub for Winter, 2006, meets on January 18, February 22 and April 12, 2026.
We will be reading one short and practical academic article each month, and sharing how the learnings may be able to improve our practice as educators.

The Emotion Wheel is a social-emotional literacy program that has been adapted from the RULER approach at Yale, to better reflect the BC Early Learning Framework and to support work with 0-6 year olds.
You will leave this workshop with concrete ways to immediately implement the emotional literacy program in your classroom.
