The morning starts with a bucket of dye and a pile of white shirts. Children fold, twist, and tie their fabric, choose their colours, and watch what happens when the dye spreads — no two shirts come out the same, and the surprise is half the fun. Shirts go home wrapped and ready to rinse.
In the afternoon we work with clay; children pinch, coil, and press, and figure out what the clay will and won't do. Each child will build their own “fairy” garden to bring home.
Please pack: lunch, water bottle, and clothes that can get dirty. Dye stains and clay is messy — please don't send anything you want kept clean. Please send a large fabric bag for the children to bring home their clay gardens.
